The BD Manager – New Markets is a role defined within the International Sales organization, belongs to the Business Development Team and has a responsibility focus on the analysis of new markets incl. competition, regulatory landscape, product focus, etc.

The Job

  • Responsible for identifying & analyzing new markets to explore
  • competitive landscape
  • regulatory framework
  • shortcomings of players in the market
  • potential niches
  • Initiate contact with potential customers
  • Manage and support the closure of an initial pipeline of customer opportunities in close collaboration with the international sales team
  • Working cross-functionally with existing Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to find new areas of growth
  • Developing and aligning activities to strategic plans
  • Communicating with tax & legal consultants in different markets to identify potential implications on a market entry
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Your Profile

  • The right person will possess significant partner acquisition, business development experience in the software/technology industry – ideally with background in payments
  • Consistently exceeds goals and key performance metrics
  • Strong technical acumen (specifically about payment, wallet, issuing & acquiring), with a demonstrated record of accomplishment of driving emerging/disruptive technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Ability to manage several strategic projects at one time with willingness to participate hands on to drive projects to completion
  • Firm understanding of contractual frameworks and ability to comprehend legal context
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
  • Superb verbal and written communications skills in English. Additional languages are a plus
  • The role foresees up to 50% travel
  • BA/BS degree
