As a Principal Scientist (m/f/d), you will be working in an international team with the goal to bring our Biosimilars to the global market in order to make medical treatment accessible for patient around the world. Your Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• You will design, execute and interpret results on protein analytics formass spectrometry (MS) activities
• You will act as SME for all MS topics to provide scientific input to biopharmaceutical projects
• You will be assigned to functional sub-teams and represent PCC in technical teams
• You will generate lab procedures, protocols, reports and SOPs as well as scientific documents for hand over to internal and/or external partners
• You will be responsible for supervising our lab associates in planning and performing complex analytical tasks

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University degree (e.g. PhD) in natural sciences (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar)
• Proven experience in hands-on protein mass spectrometry
• Profound protein-related background knowledge (structure, modifications, …)
• Fluency in English, orally and written
• Teamworker with demonstrated collaboration and communication skills

Desirable requirements:
• Very good knowledge of protein analysis tools and experience of related analytical equipment
• Knowledge of the German language beneficial
• Prior experience in an analytical role within the pharmaceutical industry

We offer a market-competitive base salary in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies. Additionally we offer an attractive incentive program, a modern company pension scheme, childcare facilities, learning & development options and worldwide career opportunities within the Novartis group. The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least € 51.180,50 per year on a full time basis).
