Job Overview

We are looking for an Intern to assist our Information Risk Management function. ING is constantly improving its IT processes, controls, and infrastructure to strengthen its position being top Digital Bank with end-to-end “straight through processing”.

Information Risk Management utilizes principles of risk management to ensure that quality and security aspects of information within ING Bank are maintained at acceptable levels which are proportionate to its value and criticality. Within the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) domain, IRM has the second line monitoring responsibility for the NFR management framework, with a focus on IT-, Continuity- and Personal and Physical Security Risk. The position will assist IRM to provide support to the first line departments in Vienna.

Mandatory Internship – Information Risk Management (m/f/d)

Limited to 6 months

Your day-to-day tasks

  • Supporting IRM in strategic and ad-hoc risk analyses and risk reports with fact finding, researching and documenting activities.
  • Supporting IRM in assessments and response to regulatory topics, internal & external audit reports and monitoring the issue solving progress.
  • Performing regular spot checks to verify the effectiveness of implemented controls.
  • Measuring and reporting the implementation of IT-Policies, IT-Minimum Standards and Security frameworks throughout the organization.
  • Supporting IRM in the IT Key Control review process.

What you bring to the team

  • Mandatory internship is planned as part of your relevant studies
  • University/BSc/MSc student or equivalent, preferably in IT field (e.g. business informatics, IT security, etc.)
  • Collaboration skills and good analytical skills
  • Pro-activeness, Big picture thinking, Result orientation
  • Ability to earn trust and respect of colleagues and management
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of banking business, processes, procedures and systems and associated laws & regulations

Your “pocket money” is € 1,200.00 gross per month.
