Information technology lies at the heart of Erste Group’s services and plays a vital and ever-expanding role in Erste Group’s mission. The position directly reports to the Group Security Officer (CSO).
Your Tasks
Taking the role and responsibilities of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive information and cyber security program focusing on Erste Bank’s CEE subsidiaries
Manage information security governance processes and lead a strong Information Security team
Provide guidance and counsel to the CISOs and key members of Erste Bank’s CEE subsidiaries
Lead the development and implementation of effective and reasonable policies and practices to secure protected and sensitive data and ensure information security and compliance with relevant legislation and legal interpretation together with Risk-, Compliance-, and Audit leaders
Develop and enhance the information security management framework
Understand and interact with related disciplines through committees to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems and services
Provide leadership to the enterprise’s information security organization in support of technology, research, and administrative information systems and technology
Assist with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of Erste Bank’s technology and systems
Your Background
Experienced (10+ years in the Information Security area), energetic, engaging and visionary leader who wants to become part of an exciting, vibrant community of information technology professionals supporting Erste Bank’s mission
Experience in leading a security organization within the Financial Services industry (or equivalent high transaction volume environment) and with an established network of industry and law enforcement relationships desirable
Deep and fundamental technology heritage that will enable them to garner the respect of top security technologies as well as top leaders and technologist within the financial industry
Develop effective internal and external relationships across divisional boundaries and demonstrate that they can make and influence decision making within a complex corporate culture
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills necessary to advise and influence senior management, the Board of Directors, oversight committees and external organizations
Professional security management certification desirable
Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST as well as financial industry requirements, such as EBA guidelines and PSD2 regulation
Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
