Our customer is a leading global producer of industrial components. With numerous international locations and innovative products, services and support, the portfolio covers the entire value chain. Consolidation & IFRS is part of the Reporting & Finance organization with the primary focus on preparing the consolidated statements and governing IFRS policies of the group.

The Head of Consolidation & IFRS will be responsible for the monthly consolidation of approximately 100 companies and the coordination of the annual audit process by a team of experts and regional partners. Due to a further internal expansion of the company, the position to be filled becomes vacant.

  • Monthly consolidation of more than 100 units and coordination of the audit process by a team of experts and regional partners
  • Excellent leadership and management of the Center of Excellence “Consolidation & IFRS”, measured by the effectiveness and commitment of the team
  • External reporting of the financial statements of the Group (bi-annual, an-nual) in accordance with IFRS standards and the requirements of listed companies
  • Preparation of expert reports on complex tax and accounting issues
  • Monthly reporting of the financial results of the entities and business units and provision of key messages
  • Development of the relevant KPIs and evaluation of benchmarks to improve the comparability of the production plants and provide ideas for improvement
  • Strong networking skills to key positions and coordination of the annual audit and the interim audit process
  • Ensuring the timeliness and functionality of the consolidation system to meet external and internal reporting requirements
  • Optimization of reporting tools and processes
  • Development and communication of reports and analyses to different target groups
  • Comprehensive overview of company processes any time required
  • Competent advice on complex accounting issues, changes in standards
  • Maintenance of the accounting manual of the group

Your Profile:

  • 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably with 2+ years in leadership roles
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance, ideally with Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • Applying strong technical accountant skills to connect business decisions with financial accounting requirements, strong natural authority
  • Ideally a combination of industry experience and auditing expertise
  • In-depth understanding of a large international group in a B2B manufacturing environment
  • Business-minded leader and functional expert with outstanding finance know-how, highly structured with strong strategic orientation and quick perception
  • Thorough knowledge of all processes within the company combined with the ability to maintain an overview from a bird’s eye view at all times
  • Strong self-drive to continuously identify optimization potential along the entire value chain for continuous growth and value enhancement of the company
  • Excellent Business English required – interpretation & presentation of financial results to stakeholders with exceptional eloquence and linguistic confidence
  • People Manager: act as an outstanding leader, as a mentor, support others on their professional development
  • Sense of urgency and hands-on approach, focused on meeting statutory obligations, collaborating world-wide
  • Distinctive intercultural competence combined with empathy for and curiosity about other cultures and the ability to move confidently on the international stage
  • Strong expertise in MS Office, Experience with SAP
  • Willingness to acquire basic German knowledge is an advantage
