YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing a professional grants and third-party research funds strategy
• Proactevely seek and communicate third-party research funding opportunities, national (e.g. FFG, FWF) and international (e.g. H2020, Horizon Europe)
• Supporting researchers in preparing proposals for various funding agencies
• Coordinate larger funding projects with several partners
• Act as administrative project manager of various third-party research funding projects
• Build a network in related ecosystem (ECSEL, EPoSS, ARTEMIS, etc.)
• Supporting financial reports and other documentation for funding organisations and stakeholders
• Developing policies, processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of funding operations at SAL
• Support Customer Relation Management in acquiring research projects with corporates
• Consortium building for funding projects

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree; a degree in engineering is advantageous but not obligatory
• Having at least 4 years of experience in a research environment and at least 2 years experience in dealing with third party research funding
• Experience and expertise in Electronic based Systems is advantageous
• Understanding of national and international research funding proposal and report requirements
• Project management skills and knowledge of financial and resource planning systems
• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills, the ability to work to strict deadlines and on multiple tasks simultaneously
• A service-oriented mindset and the desire to support excellent research
• You combine the ability to work with individuals of different national and cultural backgrounds with team spirit and strong communication skills
• Oral and written communication skills in English

IMPORTANT FACTS

• This position is endowed with a gross annual salary of € 60.000 based on the collective agreement for research („Forschungs-Kollektivvertrag“) and depending on your experience and skills.
