For the Corporate Procurement team of our headquarters in Traun we are looking for a CATEGORY MANAGER CHEMICALS & PACKAGING (fulltime, f/m/d)

Your tasks

  • You actively manage chemicals and packaging material groups and suppliers together with the Group Lead Buyers incl. development and execution of appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • You manage independently as a “Lead Buyer” selected materials / suppliers.
  • You develop supplier management processes as well as structured market follow-ups and an internal reporting.
  • You scout best practices (internal and external), streamline and further develop group-wide procurement processes.
  • You create and implement SRM processes and tools.
  • You support R&D teams in the structured introduction and management of new suppliers

  • Minimum salary of EUR 3.267,53 gross per month accordingly to collective bargaining agreement for the Austrian paper industry. Actual compensation package will be in line with qualifications and experience of candidate.

Your experience

  • Master degree in chemistry, engineering or business.
  • Several years of experience in procurement in an international environment, ideally in the processing industry (e.g. chemistry, food, pulp and paper).
  • Good knowledge of sourcing chemicals.
  • Knowledge of procurement tools and processes.
  • SAP proficiency and high level in MS Excel.
  • Structured and organized working style.
  • Very good negotiation / communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel.
