Light for the World International is an international disability and development organization whose vision is an inclusive society where no one is left behind. We enable crucial eye health services and help empower people with disabilities in some of the poorest regions of the world.

We are looking for a committed and passionate new colleague in our international finance & accounting team to cover the position of:

Finance Specialist – Accounting & Bookkeeping (f/m/nb)

Full-time (40h) / Vienna

Primary responsibilities:

  • focal point in bookkeeping for all our international entities
  • handling and coordinating the bookkeeping for several domestic and foreign associations of Light for the World International (bookkeeping, processing of national and international payment transactions, data administration and maintenance, etc.)
  • preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • key role in preparing yearly financial statements for the different international entities
  • actively contributing to the optimization, development and documentation of our finance processes
  • internal training of colleagues in finance-related issues

Your profile:

  • diploma in business administration, non-profit management or a related study with a finance-based subject
  • professional experience in bookkeeping, accounting or tax consultancy, ideally in an international context
  • strong analytical mindset to perform data analysis
  • excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • experience in working with accounting software (e. g. Quickbooks and/or BMD) or planning software
  • interested in working in a dynamic environment and in proactively providing input to shape future finance processes and standards
  • a valid work permit for the EU
  • excellent English skills and intermediate German skills are a must
